TITLE: Specification CW1850 for Cof250 Small Format Roddable Non-metallic Fibre Cable

SCOPE: This specification outlines the requirements for a Polyethylene sheathed non-metallic fibre cable suitable for installation in the BT underground infrastructure.

The cable shall also be suitable for securing to wooden telephone poles in the BT overhead infrastructure

A prime requirement is that the cable shall be suitable for self rodding into congested duct. It shall also be suitable for direct installation using a cabling rope.

The cable shall contain primary coated singlemode fibres.
The transmission application for this cable is for systems operating in the wavelength range of 1260nm to 1625nm.
