TITLE: Specification CW1857 for Cable Optical Fibre 640 – External – Armoured – Singlemode Non-pressurised

SCOPE: This range of cables are designed for installation direct in ground / directly buried. Mechanical / mole plough equipment will be used for installing these cables.

These cables shall be of loose tube construction containing 36 and 48 singlemode fibres.

The cable comprises of the cable core containing the loose tubes sheathed with black polyethylene. This sheath and cable core is protected by a layer of corrugated steel tape armouring and completed with an outer black polyethylene sheath.

This cables is for use in transmission systems operating over the wavelength range 1250nm to 1625nm.
