TRATOS® OHC AAC (All Aluminium Conductors) Power Cable
Conventional All Aluminium Conductor (AAC) phase conductor, Code name WASP
The All Aluminium Conductor (AAC) is constructed using a concentric lay stranded configuration comprising one or more strands of hard-drawn 1350 aluminium alloy. AAC finds application in low, medium, and high-voltage overhead lines. This conductor has witnessed extensive usage in urban regions, where spans are typically short, but high conductivity is imperative. The remarkable corrosion resistance of aluminium renders AAC an optimal choice, particularly in coastal areas. However, due to its relatively modest strength-to-weight ratio, AAC conductors have been somewhat limited in its application for transmission lines and rural distribution with extended spans.
Tratos is equipped to manufacture and supply AAC cables on non-returnable wooden or steel reels, as well as returnable steel reels.
