This fibre optic cable, helically applied on ground wires or phase conductors, is ideal for use on distribution lines up to 150kV, ensuring minimal load on the overhead line while offering robust protection against environmental challenges and shotgun activity.

Expanding on our SkyWrap technology, Tratos offers specialized solutions like the High Voltage SkyWrap, which permits fibre optic cable installation on phase conductors at system voltages up to 300kV, and AccessWrap, designed for phase conductors up to 50kV. These solutions ensure reliable and secure communication links in the most demanding environments, maintaining ease and speed of installation while meeting stringent IEEE standards. Our products, including the optical attached cable (OPAC) system, are installed using specialized equipment that attaches the fibre-optic cable to host conductors along overhead power lines. Tratos’ solutions leverage proven technology to withstand harsh aerial environments, ensuring minimal disruption to existing services and providing comprehensive support from line survey to maintenance.
